Google Notifier is a separateapplication that gives you easy access to your new Gmail messages withnotifications and previews, as well as reminds you of upcoming GoogleCalendar events.

Google Notifier is the equivalent of the Notify application in GroupWise.

Atthis time, Google Notifier is only working with Mac OS X 10.4 andabove. Google Notifier for Windows does not currently work with GoogleApps for Education.

An alternative for Microsoft Windows is to install and use Google Talk.
