MacOSX | How to get to your minecraft folder |Tools
For a while I've been trying to use Cartographer on Mac OS. There was a Mac port of the old linux version, but it wasn't command line oriented and i couldn't get it to generated oblique angled worlds. Oct 28, 2010 I see way too many lost Mac users in the Cartograph thread looking at the decrepit Java version, or sad 10.5 users trying to use Minutor MineMap and finding their Java version is lacking. Or non-technical users finding c10t is really hard to set up and use on Mac OS X. Ok, people don't seem to know about command line mcmap either.

Hello everyone,
So, we all know that you have to get to your minecraft folder to install mods, texture packs, get screenshots, backup worlds, but sometimes you can't seem to find your minecraft folder, right?
Well no longer! In this tutorial, I will show you how to get to your minecraft folder on MAC. Let's get started!
Here is how:
First, open your finder
Look at the bar at the top of your screen, the one that contains the apple logo and says 'Finder' next to it.
If you look an that bar, you will find the 'Go' button, click it and then click 'Go to folder', located at the bottom.
Type ~/Library and then click go, or hit the enter key on your keyboard.
NOTE:
The ~ sign is located above the tab button, press shift to use it!
This will bring you to a list of folders, go ahead and open the 'Application Support' folder.
This will open even more folders, one of them is the minecraft folder, open it.
Done! You have now opened your minecraft folder! You can now proceed to download mods and other things you want to do!
Read tutorials if you don't know how to download mods/backup worlds! You don't want to delete your world, or mess up you minecraft!
If you have any questions, feel free to post them in the comments, and I will be sure to take a look at it!

I do have a mac.
Does the technic launcher just fail to start? Does it give an error message? I have the technic launcher and I can run it perfectly, with the exception that it takes time to open the modpack (Tekkit, TheYogBox,etc...).
A little more information and I may be able to help!102/07/2013 3:22 am
